What is Palimpact
Palimpact is a pro bono financial advisory serving Palestine, founded by two economists with experience across banking, debt management, consultancy, and central banking. We provide expert financial guidance to Palestinians who could not otherwise afford or reach it — charging nothing and selling nothing.
Our purpose is simple: to help underserved people and communities take control of their financial lives, especially those pushed to the edge by economic shocks beyond their control.
What pro bono means
Pro bono is short for the Latin pro bono publico — “for the public good.” The tradition is long-established in law and medicine, where professionals give free help to those who cannot otherwise access it; offering it in financial planning is more recent.
For us it means qualified professionals providing free, objective, short-term financial guidance to people who could not afford paid ones, with no direct or hidden fees involved. To our knowledge, we are introducing this model to Palestine for the first time.
Our vision
A Palestine where Palestinians affected by economic shock — who cannot afford financial advice and risk falling into a cycle of debt and poverty — can obtain the guidance they need to escape that trap.
Our mission
To provide underserved Palestinians with free, confidential financial advice and guidance, improving the wellbeing of those living with debt and personal hardship.
