Palimpact offers free financial guidance and education to people in Palestine. This page explains what that does and does not mean, so that everyone we work with knows exactly what they are receiving.

What we provide

We provide general financial guidance and education: helping you understand your situation, build a spending plan, organise your debts, and think through your options. Our guidance is based on the information you give us and on our professional judgement as economists.

What we do not provide

  • We are not licensed financial advisors, and our guidance is not regulated financial advice.
  • We do not provide legal advice. Where your situation has legal consequences — including matters involving post-dated cheques — you should consult a lawyer.
  • We do not provide tax or accounting advice.
  • We do not lend money and we do not hold, manage, or transfer your funds.
  • We do not sell any financial product, and we receive no commission or payment from any bank, lender, or institution.
  • We do not negotiate with your creditors on your behalf. We prepare and support you to speak with them yourself.

The decisions are yours. We help you understand your options and their likely consequences. Every decision about your money, your debts, and your obligations remains yours to make and yours to act on.

No guarantee of outcome

Financial situations depend on many things outside anyone's control, including the wider economy, the decisions of lenders, and circumstances that may change after we speak. We cannot and do not guarantee any particular result, including the resolution of a debt, approval of finance, or an improvement in your circumstances.

Articles, guides, worksheets, and other material on this site are general information. They are not advice about your particular situation, and they should not be relied on as such. Data and figures we publish are drawn from sources we consider reliable, including the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Palestine Monetary Authority, and are accurate as at the date of publication.
